With extensive rights of way, open commons, sunken lanes, easy access and some of the most familiar beauty spots in England including Box Hill, Leith Hill and the Devil’s Punch Bowl, the Surrey Hills is a popular playground for runners and walkers looking to enjoy the fresh air and outstanding scenery. 

The Festival of Sport brings together all the different things you can do with your feet in the Surrey Hills! We are delighted to be partnering with the following groups and companies.

Aussie Grit

Aussie Grit Apparel is an Australian start-up spearheaded by former Formula One driver Mark Webber. They will be sponsoring the Surrey Hills Challenge prizes and displaying their trail running and trail bike kit at the Festival.

run surrey hills Run Surrey Hills is the brainchild of Jude Palmer, a specialist UK Athletics Off-road Running Coach. Jude is an experienced runner, regularly competing in a variety of events over different distances both on land and in water. Jude has been coaching participants of the Challenge and the events team and will be bringing her expertise to warm up the challenge competitors on the morning of the races and get those attending the Festival moving and motivated to get fit.
DogFit DogFit is not only sponsoring the Surrey Hills Challenge Cani-Cross races but will be available with information and demonstrations on how to begin running with your dog. People and their dogs come in all shapes and sizes with different ability levels and objectives when it comes to living an active and healthy lifestyle. At DogFit, entry fitness level is not important - what is, is that you recognise the benefits of getting fit with your dog and that you are both doing something!
CJs Aim

CJ’s Aim is a sports/activity injury and massage clinic and personal training. As well as helping competitors of the challenges to cool down and ease their aching muscles, the team will be happy to assess those visiting the Festival and offer massages.

It was created by Chip Wilson as a response to the exponential increase of female participation in sports and the belief that practicing yoga facilitates the maintenance of athletic excellence and health in general as people age. As a company their purpose is to elevate the world through the power of practise and there mission is to have their products create transformational experiences for people to live happy, healthy, fun lives. They will be bringing their best products to sell on the day as well as holding an exclusive yoga class.


Surrey Outdoor Learning & Development will be sharing their passion for taking young people and adults out of their usual surroundings and into the outdoors to develop vital life skills through direct, unique experiences. They provide high quality, outcome driven, outdoor learning experiences that inspire and engage – a learning experience for life! The team will be bringing their mobile climbing wall, archery and woodland skills activities which includes fire lighting and woodland crafts.

 Trek Hire

Trek Hire UK is a successful local company that has been successfully supplying groups and individuals with good quality trekking equipment for the past 13 years. They are sponsoring the Surrey Hills Challenge prizes and will be selling a range of equipment for runners and walkers.

Surrey Striders

Surrey Striders Nordic Walking will be demonstrating how Nordic walking is an enhancement of ordinary walking – it makes something we can all do, twice as effective!  It can be done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing. It is the ideal exercise for any age, any fitness level, it is sociable and fun, the rewards are immediate and the benefits long term. It brings a whole new perspective to exercise. 

Mole Valley

Mole Valley Orienteering are experts in orienteering and will be at the Festival to give an introduction and demonstration on orienteering. Orienteering is a sport that combines running and navigating. Most orienteering events take place in forests, though they can be run on any kind of terrain, including open moorland, local parks, sand dunes, and even city streets. The group are on hand to give advice on how to find out more about the types of orienteering events available, events in your area, what to bring, choosing the right course and how to take part in an event. An orienteering course for the whole family will being at 13:00.

Mole Valley Runners

Mole Valley Runners is an affiliated club and running community where men & women can share advice, tips, achievements, their highs & lows of running, get support and generally share a love for running & find running buddies. As members, runners will also be to access regular runs throughout the week. The club will be at the Festival to answer your running questions.
